Q2B Silicon Valley 2024: Advancing Quantum Programming with Triple Alpha

Our CEO Dr Joe Fitzsimons unveiled new capabilities in Triple Alpha including the first steps towards a quantum operating system.

Past

At Q2B Silicon Valley 2024, the Horizon Quantum team demonstrated new capabilities integrated into its IDE Triple Alpha: dynamic quantum memory management, the ability to compile to measurement-based quantum computing (MBQC) architectures, a new architecture-independent optimisation engine, and the introduction of full support for pulse control within our languages, Hydrogen and Helium.

Over three days, the Horizon Quantum team conducted demos at our booth highlighting our latest advancements.

To showcase pulse-level control for quantum hardware, we conducted live deployments on Rigetti Ankaa-9Q-3 processors using Triple Alpha, with experiments executed through our Helium code.

With the new capabilities introduced, we demonstrated a significant step toward a true quantum operating system, positioning Triple Alpha as a leading software development tool for serious quantum programming.
