One is working at his laptop while the other two stand next to him with their backs to the camera. In the other image, a Horizon intern is sitting at a conference room table, working on her laptop with her back to the camera.

Our science internship programme

Horizon Quantum runs science internship programmes in both Singapore and Ireland. These internships offer students the opportunity to work alongside our science and engineering teams on projects that explore new applications of quantum computing and directly contribute to the evolution of Horizon Quantum’s technology stack.

All internships are paid and conducted on site within a team-based, research-driven environment. For international candidates, we provide travel support to facilitate a temporary relocation for the duration of the programme.

Beyond the internship

Our internships are more than a learning opportunity—they’re a chance to contribute meaningful progress in a rapidly developing field. In addition to deepening their understanding of quantum software development, our interns will become comfortable working across time zones and connecting with industry professionals.

Some interns continue to collaborate with Horizon Quantum after the programme ends, forming part of a growing international network committed to advancing practical quantum computing. Occasionally, internships become a pathway to full-time roles after graduation.
