Horizon Quantum’s mission is to unlock broad quantum advantage by building software infrastructure that empowers developers to use quantum computing to solve the world’s toughest computational problems.

Horizon is bridging the gap between today’s quantum hardware and tomorrow’s applications through the creation of advanced software development tools. Built with proprietary languages and a powerful compiler, Triple Alpha—Horizon’s integrated development environment—enables developers to write sophisticated, hardware-agnostic quantum programs at multiple levels of abstraction.

Founded in 2018 by Dr Joe Fitzsimons, a leading researcher and former professor with more than two decades of experience in quantum computing, Horizon Quantum combines deep scientific expertise with proven technology leadership. The leadership team also includes Dr Si-Hui Tan, Chief Science Officer, a physicist with more than 20 years of experience in quantum information science. Learn more at www.horizonquantum.com.

Horizon Quantum, a pioneer of software infrastructure for quantum applications, is bridging the gap between today’s quantum hardware and tomorrow’s applications, equipping developers with the tools they need to use quantum computing to solve the world’s toughest computational problems.

Built with proprietary Turing-complete languages and an optimising compiler, Triple Alpha—Horizon Quantum’s integrated development environment—empowers developers to build complex hardware-agnostic quantum programs. In Triple Alpha, users can work at multiple levels of abstraction—from higher-level algorithm design to hardware-specific control.

Beyond higher-level programming tools, Triple Alpha gives developers access to advanced capabilities supported by Horizon’s underlying execution infrastructure. Users can code, compile, and optimise programs seamlessly across a range of processors and simulators, with built-in resource analysis and single-step API deployment.

While most quantum programming frameworks force developers to choose between flexibility and portability, Triple Alpha removes that trade-off entirely, giving users complete control while remaining fully hardware-agnostic.

Naming

“Horizon Quantum” is two words, each beginning with a capital letter. Do not refer to the company as “Horizon Quantum Computing” or “HQC.”

“Triple Alpha” is our integrated development environment. It is also two words, each with a capital letter.

While our logos stylise both of these names in lowercase, we ask that you follow the above guidance when writing about our company and its products.
