The Register: Singapore's Monetary Authority Advises Banks to Get Busy Protecting Against Quantum Decryption
MAS warned that the security of financial transactions and sensitive data at financial institutions could be at risk, thanks to quantum computers that can break some of the commonly used encryption and digital signature algorithms. Horizon’s CEO Joe Fitzsimons talks about the importance for financial institutions to start paying attention to encryption protocols given the research results that have emerged for cryptographically relevant quantum computers.
